'Deplorable Me'

In the Illumination Entertainment movie "Despicable Me," the character Gru is depicted as an evil, despicable villain. The gaggle of followers that he controls is called Minions.

Likewise, in the 2016 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton has depicted Donald Trump as despicable, untrustworthy, and unqualified to be president.

Like Gru's despicable Minions, she recently called half of Trump's followers a "basket of deplorables."

Some Trump supporters are seeing this new label as a badge of honor, and they've found a new way of marketing it to Millennials. Trumpers are now responding by plastering the word "deplorable" on bumper stickers, t-shirts, and even pizzas.

They're using Clinton's remark as a visual form of anti-establishment protest.

Only in America, folks! This presidential campaign is getting more interesting by the minute.
