Franklin Graham, President and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, has a message for President Donald Trump during his visit to Saudi Arabia: Don’t kiss up.
Graham said the following during an interview with CBN News at the BGEA World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians:
"This is very complicated, because the Saudis finance terrorism, and they’ve been doing it for years. And they are responsible for many of the terrorist organizations we see in the world today. ISIS, for example, they’ve been behind them. Saudi Arabia needs to be warned that if they don’t help us, then they will be our enemy. You know, we’ve had many Americans working there for years in the oil business and so-forth, but we don’t need their oil. We have all the oil in this country that we need. We don’t need to be kissing up to them. I think it’s time that we have a president who will stand up to Saudi Arabia. Whether that will happen or not, I don’t know. There’s so many business interests, and they spend a lot of money buying weapons from us and all this kind of, we have a tendency to look the other way when business deals are in the works. And I hope that we would have a president that would forget the business deals and say right is right, and wrong is wrong. They are responsible for the growth of Islam in this country. They take billions of their dollars and they feed it into our university system to have chairs on Islamic study. All this is, is these are missionaries for Islam coming into our college campuses and coming into our communities, building mosques throughout this country, and I believe we need to go after Saudi Arabia a little more intense.
Franklin Graham tweeted, wishing the President well, as Air Force One flew to Saudi Arabia: [email protected] is leaving today for his 1st overseas trip as commander-in-chief. Pray for him.”
