Jerusalem's Mayor on Building and the Bible

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat governs the most widely loved and also most controversial city in the world.

Recently, Barkat been in the middle of the crisis between the U.S. and Israel over Jews building in their capital city.

Today Barkat addressed a group of diplomats and journalists about his vision for the city called by some "the capital of the world."

Here are two excerpts from his briefing. In the first, he talks about the recent controversy with the Obama administration over building. In the second, he addresses the biblical heritage found in Jerusalem, unlike any other city in the world.
