Primary age students in the Bavarian ski resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen were reportedly forced to chant "Allahu Akbar" and "there is no god but Allah" in class.

An outraged father posted an open letter online saying that his daughter had to memorize a Muslim surah and recite it.

A class handout given to a newspaper read "Oh Allah, how perfect you are and praise be to you. Blessed is your name, and exalted is your majesty. There is no God but you."

News of the incident created an uproar in the community, with citizens bombarding the school with angry emails, phone calls, and visits.

The school said that "no student was forced, and the verses were not memorized."

One German pastor even defended the exercise, saying that Christians are commanded to be tolerant and the Quran can be quoted in a protestant church service.

In April, I told you about the Archbishop of Cologne publicly welcoming Islam, mosques and minarets to Germany.

You may recall that the "brave German woman" Heidi Mund created an international sensation by disrupting an Islamic prayer in a Christian-Muslim "interfaith" concert with the words of Martin Luther.

Mund told us she believes dark forces in positions of power want to destroy Germany by bringing large numbers of Muslim refugees into the country.
