The Clinton campaign has just released another instance of Barack Obama lifting a portion of someone else's speech. This time it's from John Edwards in 2003. Watch the video here.
The danger here for Obama is what happens if this "plagiarism" story doesn't go away and actually sticks? That is the worse case scenario because then not only is the candidate damaged, but his brand is too. I have a feeling this won't be the last You Tube clip we see being released by the Clinton campaign.
Part of the issue here is that David Axelrod, Obama's media strategist also helped out John Edwards in the past and Deval Patrick as well. So my guess is you'll see the Obama camp try to spin it that way. But look, side by side video can be a very powerful thing.
