Joe Lieberman: Obama has a "stubbornness that worries me."

07-29-2008

Senator Joe Lieberman worries about the fact that Barack Obama is to stubborn to admit the surge worked. You can watch his answer in my one on one interview above. Part of the transcription is below

"In the one big test so far in the Senate Iraq I think he made the wrong judgment and he stuck to it with a stubbornness that worries me about what kind of President he would be."

"What really is troubling and says a lot about the future is the fact that Senator Obama refuses to say really that the surge made the difference and that he says that he would vote against it again and that makes me wonder what kind of President he would be on this critical foreign policy issues."

Raising questions about Obama. That is the name of the game for the McCain campaign. They want Americans to really think long and hard about Barack Obama in the Commander in Chief Role. A week of great photo-ops in Europe and The Middle East help but there are hurdles to still overcome. Lots of them.
