Speaker Pelosi's Office to Brody File: Ted Haggard Account " Simply Not True"

Stop the presses! House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office is denying pastor Ted Haggard’s claim that the Speaker offered encouraging words to the fallen pastor.

Below is a statement sent to me by Drew Hammill, Nancy Pelosi’s Press Secretary:

“The Speaker and Ted Haggard never met and they never spoke.  The Speaker has never talked to her daughter, Alexandra, about Mr. Haggard.  This account is simply not true.” 

So basically they are saying Haggard made the whole thing up. Or who knows? Maybe he misunderstood or had his own interpretation.
