In an interview with The Brody File, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, says Democrats in Washington have "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and are actually angry at the American people.

“Washington Democrats are angry right now," Cruz told us during our interview at CPAC. “They’re in a state of denial about the election and they are filled with rage and fury. They’re suffering from what I call ‘Trump derangement system’ where they’re angry, and they’re not even angry at Republicans or even Trump. They’re angry at the American people. They’re angry at the voters for electing a Republican president, Republican majorities in both houses of Congress and that rage is coloring everything they’re doing.”

Cruz calls out the mainstream media as well, saying they are “not impartial; they are not fair arbiters; they do not give both sides a fair hearing.”

He gave an example of this when he talked to me about how the media covered President Barack Obama’s relationship with Russia compared to President Donald Trump.

“The Obama administration was weak and servile to Russia,” Cruz said. But he points out that the media never followed that storyline. Watch his answer above, which is classic Ted Cruz and includes his best Russian accent! You don’t want to miss it!

Cruz echoes the sentiments of many evangelical voters out there who see Trump as delivering on his campaign promises so far. The mainstream media may have all sorts of problems with President Trump’s agenda/rollout, but when it comes to the conservative evangelical base who got him to the White House, no complaints at all so far.
