Human Trafficking
CBN and its partners are uniquely positioned to respond to the problem of human trafficking and help rescue women and children from predators by easing the burden of poverty.
The Need
- It is estimated that more people, especially children, are enslaved today than at any other time in history.
- Modern-day slavery is fueled by a variety of circumstances: poverty, war, natural disasters, abductions, immigrant labor, and false adoptions.
- There are millions of victims of human trafficking worldwide many 12 years old or younger.
- Men, women and children of all ages and backgrounds can become victims of this crime and it takes place in every region of the world, including here in the United States.

What We Have Accomplished Together
- CBN's Orphan's Promise partners with other worldwide organizations meet the needs of vulnerable and at-risk women and children, taking them from unsafe, unstable situations to places of safety that provide food, shelter, education, medical care, life-skills training, and love.
- Anti-Trafficking: Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of trafficking victims has increased. Due to the pandemic, schools were shut down and correctional facilities and treatment centers reduced their capacity by releasing inmates and patients early. This left many women and children vulnerable and without support. Through our supported projects, Orphan’s Promise’ anti-trafficking efforts are helping to provide these victims with care, case management and court support, skills training and job support, as well as basic needs such as transportation, food, medical care, and housing assistance.1
- In the United States, CBN’s Orphan’s Promise’s anti-trafficking efforts are helping provide trafficking victims with care, case management and court support, skills training, and job support, as well as basic needs such as transportation, food, medical care, and housing assistance. In addition, here in Hampton Roads, we’ve helped provide The Prevention Project Curriculum to 6 public schools in Portsmouth through one of our supported projects. This curriculum has been used in over 600 classrooms around the US and seeks to prevent human trafficking, as well as equip student leaders to bring a lasting change in their schools, communities, and beyond.1
With your generosity, these programs bring hope and relief to those in need, as an expression of God's unfailing love.
