Children's Outreach
CBN is dedicated to bringing the Word of God and the message of salvation to children throughout the world through programs and initiatives such as Superbook, a captivating 3D-animated series of Bible stories that include home and school teaching materials and interactive online experiences.
The Need
- Bringing the Bible to children at a young age is critical in a world that is growing more and more hostile to Biblical truth
- The rate of biblical illiteracy among children and adults continues to increase. Many children have never been introduced to God’s Word.
- Fewer children than ever are hearing about Bible stories such as David and Goliath and the Good Samaritan.
- The next generation desperately needs to know about the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.
What We Have Accomplished Together
To date, millions of children have made the decision to follow Christ as a result of Superbook and other CBN programming.1
- CBN now has one or more complete seasons of Superbook in 65 languages and dialects, with another six in progress. Superbook Academy is in 21 languages and dialects and The Salvation Poem in 81.
- To celebrate Superbook’s 40th anniversary, CBN’s team in Croatia hosted a virtual four-kilometer race and an outdoor extravaganza with Gizmo. Catholic broadcaster Laudato TV aired the event across Croatia and neighboring Bosnia-Herzegovina.
- Working with ministry partner OneHope, Superbook developed a 36-page booklet to share the Gospel in seven easy-to-understand steps with European children. The Superbook Book of Hope is already in German and Dutch and soon will also be available in Polish and Russian.
- In June, CBN’s India team conducted an online Superbook Summer Camp to bless children unable to attend school since March. Participants represented more than 40 churches from 15 states of India, including one on the India-Bhutan border, and two churches in Nepal.
- Russian YouTube influencer Biga Egorov is helping Superbook reach teenagers. Biga has shared several videos recommending Superbook with his 670,000 followers. He also encouraged his viewers to share videos on Tik Tok of themselves singing and dancing to “Follow Jesus” and “The Salvation Poem”.
- In partnership with Operation Blessing, Superbook is hosting both virtual and in person events in different communities across Honduras. During each event, children watch Superbook, participate in fun activities, and learn hygiene practices to help them stay safe during the COVID 19 pandemic. Teachers reinforce the life lessons learned from the Superbook episode the children watched and invite them to accept Christ.
- Our TV affiliate in Albania continues to air the weekly television series, Superkids. Superkids is an original series featuring a local host and Gizmo guiding kids through Superbook adventures and lessons from Superbook Academy.
- The Superbook Bible App, with over 26 million downloads, is reaching kids around the world with a media-rich experience that brings the Bible to life through videos, games and activities.2
With your generosity, these programs bring hope and relief to those in need, as an expression of God's unfailing love.
