Development Coordinator



Major Gifts - Virginia Beach, VA

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for a Development Coordinator.  This position will provide comprehensive support for the Major and Planned Gifts department by managing and organizing all donor care activities and supporting the field team, resulting in an excellent donor experience and enabling the team to secure funding for the ministry.

This position works onsite each day at our Virginia Beach office, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 1 year in fundraising or development preferred
  • Strong coordination support to meet non-profit development goals and objectives
  • Critical thinker with strong research skills and ability to make sound recommendations
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to speak persuasively and interact effectively with reps, leadership and other stakeholders of the organization
  • Strong computer skills and high proficiency working with Microsoft family of Apps, especially CRM, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
  • Strong ability to compose letters, edit documents, and create spreadsheets with critical attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with keen attention to detail
  • Flexible team player with ability to change direction and work focus quickly
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage competing, distinct priorities
  • Ability to discern when to work independently or in collaboration with team members in order to effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, use sound judgment and utmost discretion
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Ability to travel for events as needed

Gift-in-Kind Donation Specialist - Remote (U.S. Based)

Operation Blessing (OB), an international humanitarian relief and development organization, is seeking an organized Gift-in-Kind Donation Specialist to provide administrative support and aid with the compilation and reconciliation of gifts-in-kind (GIK) donation support documentation. The Donation Specialist will successfully acquire gifts-in-kind donations (GIK) from corporations and businesses with a primary focus being on generating new sources of GIK in support of Operation Blessing’s (OB) U.S. hunger relief efforts. To manage the acquisition, facilitation, and documentation of these procured resources.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and experience in conducting research using a variety of resources (search engines, publications & periodicals, databases)
  • Demonstrate the ability to network and cold call prospective donors
  • Demonstrate competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team to achieve weekly, quarterly and annual goals
  • Meet deadlines, with strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to collaboratively support activities in the achievement of overall goals
  • Demonstrate maturity, judgment and ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in the entire Microsoft Office suite (especially MS Excel and Access) and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills
