The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to provide senior technical leadership and managerial oversight of the Broadcast Engineering team.  This professional will engineer complex technical solutions for media delivery, playout, compression, and distribution technologies.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Extensive working knowledge of broadcast engineering, television production, post-production and production management
  • Working knowledge of baseband HD/SD video, transport stream distribution, video/audio encoding and advanced IP networking
  • Experience in data network and data communications
  • Familiarity with industry developments in key technical areas of standardization and the ability to articulate benefits/risks of technical solutions
  • Strategic thinker with ability to manage projects and assess outcomes
  • Working knowledge of OTT streaming architectures and technologies a plus
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, negotiation and public relations skills
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to proactively train and mentor direct reports
  • Flexible with ability to work within a high pressure and stressful live broadcast environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to create, manage and monitor budgets
  • SBE, SCTE certifications and FCC operator class license desirable

Warehouseman - Virginia Beach, VA



Operation Blessing - Hunger Strike Force – Local Feeding Program

Operation Blessing (OB) is looking for a Warehouseman (Local Feeding Programs) to provide effective volunteer coordination, and organization and facilitation of product distribution to local ministry partners, along with providing Local Hunger Relief Programs product receipt support and inventory control support. This position will work onsite at OB’s Distribution Center in Virginia Beach, VA.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DOA, DOT, FDA and OSHA federal, state, and local regulations
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, equipment and inventory systems
  • Skilled in MS Office, and industry-standard inventory software applications
  • Strong ability to lead, manage and motivate team members
  • Ability to work well as a team member, under pressure, in a high-stress and fast-paced environment, establish priorities, effectively multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as be an effective member of a team
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 75 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Forklift certification
  • Good driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to receive CDL Class B Permit upon hire
