Devotions on Fatherhood

“Abba” is Hebrew for Papa and it's the first word that a little Hebrew boy or girl says. It's a wonderful, affectionate name for God.

Thank you for your undivided attention to me, treating me as your only child when I'm talking, even though you have countless children.

We must understand the importance of putting our hand to the plow so to speak, while also ready with the weapons of our warfare.

Our imperfections are not an excuse to plateau as a parent. We keep learning.

When we spend time with our Father, watching what He is doing and listening to what He is saying, we begin to do like He does.

How do we know if we should just be still and watch our Father at work or pick up a tool and help?

The title of Father comes to some men through biology, marriage, or adoption. The love of a Father solidifies and confirms the right to that title.

Remember the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father.

No matter how we see ourselves, or have felt as though we have let God and others down; if you belong to God, He is not ashamed to be called your God...

Spending meaningful time with our heavenly Father increases our joy.
