First Parents Visit Sasha's School
This morning, the President and First Lady took a little motorcade ride across Washington to Sidwell Friends school, where 8 year old Sasha attends. It's customary for the press to follow along in the motorcade, and file reports called "pool reports" that we all share. That's so the President doesn't have hundreds of cameras following him around everywhere, particularly on trips like this, where he was just going to some sort of event at this daughter's school.
At the bottom of one of today's pool reports was this sentence: "POTUS does not have a jacket. FLOTUS is wearing a white sweater and a red and white skirt. She is carrying a big, white purse."
I think it's hilarious that every time the First Lady appears, clothes are suddenly added to the pool reports, like they're important details. Look, I'm a girl, okay. I like clothes and all. But, I'm probably far from being "in style" or up with the latest trends. I know Michelle Obama has me beat in that department, a million times over. But, does it make me a horrible person or woman that I just don't care what they're wearing... ever. Unless it's really out of the ordinary, like if they were in costume or something. I'm sorry. I just don't think it's news.
