"Killing Jesus" Releases ‘Chilling’ First Official Trailer

Chills. I got ‘em. That doesn’t happen often when I watch a trailer for a new movie or TV show. But, the new trailer for National Geographic’s upcoming three-hour television event, Killing Jesus, truly captivated me. The intensity of moments captured and crafted into this under two-minute trailer perfectly sets up this new miniseries.

Based on Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard’s best-selling book, Killing Jesus looks at the man behind the faith of billions, the “rebel” who made Rome nervous, the prophet who inspired men and women to leave their families to follow him.

Executive producer Ridley Scott, actors Stephen Moyer, Rufus Sewell, Haaz Sleiman (as Jesus), Emmanuelle Chriqui, John Rhys-Davies, Eoin Macken, and Kelsey Grammer, along with director Christopher Menaul, all combine their talents in this Nat Geo production.

Hopefully, the cast and crew’s combined experience and this gripping trailer are good signs of what’s to come on March 29th when Killing Jesus premieres (just one week before NBC’s A.D. The Bible Continues airs).
