EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: "Killing Jesus" - Simon & Jesus Go Fishing

National Geographic’s upcoming TV movie, Killing Jesus, based on Bill O’Reilly’s best-selling book, is gearing up for this Sunday’s big premiere (March 29th, at 8 p.m. ET).

Approaching the biblical story from a historical and political perspective, Killing Jesus gives believing and non-believing audiences a fresh look at the most famous figure ever to walk the Earth.

Lebanese-American television and film actor Haaz Sleiman (The Visitor) takes his portrayal as Jesus in this three-hour TV event very seriously.

“More importantly than anything else…is what Jesus stood for. Just really focusing on that…His essence and His message and His teachings just everyday gave me the power and the reason,” says Sleiman. “I have this huge desire to really tell a story, because I really have so much love and passion for [Jesus], and admiration and respect. I just wanted to do everything I can to tell the story. That was very important to me.”

In a new, exclusive video shared only with CBN.com, we see Jesus and Simon (Alexis Rodney, Guardians of the Galaxy) expectantly throw a fishing net into a seemingly barren sea. This inspiring scene is a beautiful picture of what happens when you pray to a Living God.
