NBA Finals: A Classic Match-up...Again
By Shawn Brown
So as I saw coming weeks ago, the Lakers and the Celtics are playing for the NBA title yet again. As Kobe Bryant put it, “It’s a sexy match-up” (USA Today). After all, each of these teams have won championships in the last three seasons with primarily the same teams, so they are well versed in what it takes to bring home the championship. The question is: who wants it more? I have to say, by the time the 7 game series is over, the Lakers will come out on top. Yes, I believe we are going 7 games for this series. After their last match up, the Lakers will play with a chip on their shoulder because they were denied by the Celtics in the 2008 Finals. But it is not going to be an easy task. The Celtics have so many shooters and a deep bench of the same. If the Lakers sleep on defense and allow separation, the Celtics are going to have target practice. With that said, this series will come down to defense and rebounds. When you look at it like that, I have to say once again, Lakers in seven! Any disputes?
