Exclusive Interview with Marine Le Pen Advisor Aymeric Chauprade

Here are highlights from my interview with Aymeric Chauprade, foreign policy advisor to the head of France's National Front party, Marine Le Pen.

After the Charlie Hebdo and Kosher Supermarket massacres, Chauprade posted a video online in which he warned that up to a million French Muslims are sympathetic to terrorism and comprise a “fifth column” in France.

He also said that France is at war with some, but not all, Muslims. For it, he was dismissed by Le Pen, although he told us he still has ties to the party.>

Le Pen is apparently trying to look kinder and gentler--some would use the term "politically correct"--toward Muslim immigration. And it has reportedly led to a schism in the leadership of the far-right party.
